Currents: Experiments In Art-Science Collaboration


Thanks to the kind invitation by Maoya Bassiouni, director of fluxART at UC Berkeley, USA, Climate Whirl and Periferia Forest Art Lab will be taking part to the art&science exhibition at the Patricia Valian Reser Center for Creative Arts (PRAx) in Corvallis, Oregon. The group exhibition will showcase works from PRAx Collaborative Faculty Fellowship from Oregon State University, fluxART artists-in-residence from the global FLUXNET network, and the Office for Tree Migration by Agnes Meyer-Brandis, which is part of Periferia exhibition.

During the opening events professor Timo Vesala is giving the cinematic lecture Treebounds at The Center for the Future of Forests and Society.

The lecture was given first time during the Word for the World is Forest in Hyytiälä Forest Station in May 2024 and have toured since in many places.
